2018年1月からのテレビアニメ 続『刀剣乱舞-花丸-』放送開始に先立ち、全国21館の映画館で12月1日(金)より2週間限定公開された劇場版総集編のDVDリリース!! 刀剣男士たちの、新たな日々の"幕開け"へと繋がる"回想録"。――池田屋への再出陣を経て、大和守安定が修行へ旅立った"とある本丸"。その直後、安定へ思いを馳せる加州清光は、部屋に残された手紙を発見する――。最古参として"とある本丸"を見続けてきた加州清光。彼の目線を通し、テレビアニメ一期(2016年10～12月放送)で描かれた、多彩な刀剣男士たちの一年間の物語を再編集。
