While many of Kajiura's soundtracks sound similar (and the "Mai HiME" soundtracks are easily recognized as Kajiura's work) the pieces on this album are among her best in terms of emotional impact and and they way they succeeded in recalling and underlining both the drama and the comedy of the series. The dramatic works on this album are quite stunning.
one of the best songs i have listened in anime music: if you like mix of classic music with other styles (rock and techno): this is a good choise. album alternate slow and speed titles (my favorites: when the girls fight: look at the anime). You can look at my hime ost 1 and 2, my otome ost 1 and 2 and my hime: last moment, 5 CD that you must have (or try disc: "best collection", this a compilation of the better titles). I like "last moment", "materielaze" :-),...
