Well, this is the first album from MELL and is true that it's based on her previous 2 singles and some older songs too. But, letting that aside, I can say that MELLSCOPE is an excellent album, just to hear the intense an beautiful voice of MELL is great because she is unique in her style and she has a lot of singer skills with no doubt. It has great songs like "SCOPE", "Red Fraction", "kicks!", "no vain", "the first finale in me" and many more. Plus, the DVD has the promotional video "SCOPE" and alternative versions for no "vain" and "kicks!" and a short video with MELL visiting France to work on a new version of "repeat", this is a very interesting part because you have the chance to see her as she is, beautiful and tender. The Package is full of quality, awesome I should say. And with the usual excellent and kind treatment to the costumer from CDJapan during all the process, simply remarkable. If you like MELL as a solo singer or as a part of I've, you shouldn't miss this album, a great adition to any fan. Greetings.

Customer Reviews
To say that this album is a little strange, would be very nice. There's something about this album that is just so weird it at once throws me off and draws me in. It could be MELL's interestingly unique voice, or the range of musical styles -from pop, to ballad types, to happy hardcore techno, to industrial, and to something quite organic courtesy of Eric Moquet- , or it could be that something else that i cant quite put my finger on. Despite the array of sounds and styles present on the album, it all falls back on the wonderful production of I've Sound, and actually holds together fairly well. I'm not sure what to say of MELL's voice though...she can be tender and beautiful, harsh and forceful, and just plain weird. Somehow she manages to pull herself together to suit the music and provide an interesting performance. She can sometimes be insensitive towards the music, but that seems to be part of her charm. Having said all that, there are some very good and solid tracks on this album, but I'm sure its not for everyone. Still....its an interesting listen....and the packaging sure is spiffy! The DVD has some alternate versions of her PVS. New footage is always a plus, and there's plenty of that! It also has photo-shoot footage, and an interview with Eric Moquet of Deep Forest, who worked on the production of the final track of the album.
I been waiting for a new MELL album and here it is and I'm love listening to it! The album has her recent singles and new songs that are awesome for fans and newcomers alike. The limited edition comes with a bonus DVD with music videos and a documentary of MELL's experience going to France to record the remix version of "repeat", which is really good! Everyone should check it out today!
