I've always been a Steely Dan fan therefore a Donald Fagen fan. Of his three solo efforts I have to admit Nightfly is my favorite where everything comes together. If you're new to Donald Fagen's music and only want one CD I would suggest buying Nightfly. Only consider the other two if you absolutely feel you need more. This is strictly my opinion and I'm sure there are those would disagree. For me, Nightfly rates 5 stars!
