ESCAFLOWNE Original Soundtrack 3

This whole soundtrack is a wonderful masterpiece filled beautiful and soul-grabbing music! Lots of background music and a few vocals. This CD contains the following tracks: 01. Short Notice 02. I'm a big fan of Escaflowne and so of course I love its music, composed mostly by Yoko Kanno and Hajime Mizoguchi. And so of course I greatly enjoyed this CD, even more than I enjoyed the second of the Escaflowne soundtracks (though perhaps not as much as the first ;) ). "Short Notice" is the music used for the "Next Episode" previews "Arcadia" is a bit of an opera song, the beginning is heartbreaking and used several times near the end of the series "Epistle" is in the same vein as the earlier "Dance of Curse," great clashing fighting music "Farewell" features some lovely piano "Aoi Hitomi" is a soft piece sung by Maaya Sakamoto, using the same tune as the earlier "Memory of Fanelia" "Perfect World" is used in the Atlantis arc and unfortunately it's a bit bland compared to the other songs on this CD "Blaze" is one of my favourite pieces used in the series, a sad piece with a choir that is sometimes used for battle-ish scenes "Hikari no Naka e" features Maaya Sakamoto again and is so gorgeous I would definitely recommend this soundtrack to a fan of Escaflowne. :) It's a bit darker than the two soundtracks which preceded it, but definitely worth a listen. :D
