初期ジャッキー映画を代表する伝説の少林カンフー・アクションが初ブルーレイ化!! ――正体不明の賊に父を殺され、復讐を誓った聾唖の小僧が、少林寺で修行を初めてから2年が過ぎた。だが、彼は未だに葛藤ばかりで実際のカンフーを教わる機会に恵まれない。そんなある日、青年は洞窟の奥に鎖で繋がれた囚人と出会い、秘かにカンフーを教わることに。やがて、厳しい修行を終えた青年は、動く木製人形が集団で襲いかかる少林寺最終関門"木人路"を見事クリアすると、仇敵を捜すため少林寺を後にする。一方、脱走に成功した囚人は昔の手下らと共に、自分を捕らえた武芸者たちへの復讐を開始するが・・・。動く木製の人形"木人"と戦うという奇抜なアイデアで、観客に衝撃を与えた初期ジャッキー映画随一の傑作。肉まんの皮をむくシーンや、鳥居のように組んだ棒を使った特訓シーンなど記憶に残る名場面が満載! ラストの師弟による因縁の対決は迫真のカンフーアクションはもちろん、師匠に対する怨みと愛情との間に揺れる葛藤のドラマが展開し見応え充分な作品。日本公開版主題歌&挿入歌収録。
