Play Dolls [Type B / 2CD] [Limited Release]

Everyone else has been complaining about how disappointing this album is, but it's really not that bad. After a couple of listens, it really grows on you. Sure, it might not be as good as their previous albums from the UNDERCODE label, but that's to be expected. Honestly, if you liked their old albums, you MIGHT like this one, but it's unlikely. Their old music is too different to be considered popular in the mainstream anyway, and even though we might hate the idea of it, 12012 needs to at least be a little popular to be able to continue making music. So for first time listeners, this is a good start for you. For the more hardcore fans, maybe you should turn somewhere else instead of bashing on them. They're trying, and this is definitely a new side to the band. They're growing up and maturing in their music.

I've been a huge fan of 12012 for quite awhile now and this new album from them is a welcome addition to my collection. From the crushingly powerful opening track, "hermit", to the indominably fun to listen to "cheeky doll". This album is solid from beginning to end with a great flow and a powerful presence.

I've liked 12012 casually for a while. I've heard songs they have released on compilation CD's but I've never owned an 12012 CD until now. I must say, this album blew me away! I was so surprised at how much I listen to it. The songs 'my room agony', 'cheeky doll', 'hermit' are my personal favorites. see-saw, the bonus track is also fantastic. If you were thinking of purchasing an 12012 album, this is definately it!
