SUPERテーマソング「スーパーマン」といった超豪華タイアップ曲に加え、限定シングル曲「いちご」も含む全14曲 (予定)収録! タイアップ曲以外にも、北川自らがアフリカの大地を踏みしめ、そこで感じた想いや葛藤の中で生まれた「はるか」、岩沢による屈指の極上バラード曲「二つ言葉」など、珠玉の名曲がぎっしりつまったアルバム作品。プロデューサー陣には蔦谷好位置氏、寺岡呼人氏に加え、新たに重鎮プロデューサー島健氏を迎えて制作。今まで以上に感情的で心に染み渡る楽曲を中心に組み立てられた「FURUSATO」。この作品を手にした様々な人達のFURUSATOの断片が、このアルバムから感じられるでしょう。ジャケットアートワークを手がけるのは、Mr.Childrenや数々のCMなどで大活躍中の、現在最も勢いのある気鋭クリエイター森本千絵氏。
