I titled my review based on the recent announcement that Creature Creature will go on hiatus as Morrie concentrates on his solo activities, stating that CC had come "full circle". I would agree with that statement, since the material on 'Death Is A Flower' has progressed quite far from the heavy rock band sound of their debut 'Light & Lust', to where it has more in common with Morrie's recent solo output. That said, this is one deep, progressive album! It has some of CC's heaviest moments, and lightest. It's hard for me to pick out standout tracks, as I find it works best as a full album listen. As always, the vocals and musicianship are absolutely first rate. Overall it is a monument to what Morrie and his crew were able to accomplish in such a short time, and kind of makes me feel bad that I only gave 'Phantoms' 4 stars! :-b

In comparison to the last album, PHANTOMS, this one is quite different. The sound is heavier. The song from PHANTOMS that is closest to this album would be Dead Riders. Best track on the album for me is the opening, also the song the album is named after, Death is a Flower. Some pretty neat complex sounds going on!
