日本が世界に誇る究極のトゥルー・メタル・バンド「ライトニング」の、マーキー移籍第二弾となる通算4枚目のスタジオ・アルバム。維新志士を彷彿とさせるような佇まいや、歌詞等、徹底した信念の下に構築されたコンセプトを持っており、洋楽ヘヴィ・メタルと邦楽の美点を折衷した独自のサウンド・スタイルを提示。前作『JUSTICE STRIKE』から加入し、幅広いレンジと豊かな表現力、端正なルックスを備えたニュー・シンガーの勇舞(ゆうま)をフィーチュアした第二弾。シンガーをあらかじめ念頭において制作されたため、前作以上に一体感のある内容に仕上がった会心作。今回のコンセプトは「インベーダーvsNINJA」。インベーダーは、実は"日の昇らぬ暗黒の未来"から来た自分たちの子孫で、真実に目を向けずに生きた人類への応報で、未来の地球に日を昇らせる為、真実無き現代に真実の戦いを挑むのが、今回のLIGHTNINGの使命。
