2002年に東京国際フォーラムAで行なわれた「20020220 music from FINAL FANTASY」さらに、2005年に初の海外コンサートとなった「MORE FRIENDS music from FINAL FANTASY」に続き、約3年振りとなるFFサウンドのオーケストラアルバムの発売が決定! 本作はゲーム音楽作曲家・植松伸夫による完全監修作品。王立ストックホルムフィルハーモニー管弦楽団による質の高いフルオーケストラ演奏に、指揮は国内ゲームミュージックファンからも定評の高いArnie Rothが担当。楽曲は2007年から世界各地で公演が行われている「Distant Worlds」コンサートでの演奏となり、いずれもファンからの高い評価を得る楽曲ばかりを収録!
