Tsukihime (Moon Princess)
- Tsukihime (Moon Princess) -

- Story -

At age nine, Shiki Toono's life is interrupted by a near-death incident.
When he is brought back to life, he finds himself in possession of a dreadful power which allows him to visualize the "breaking line" or the lifeline of any object, whether animate or inanimate.
This frightens the young boy, but a mysterious woman who materializes in front of him gives him a pair of glasses which neutralizes his new "sight."

Eight years later...
Shiki, though suffering from anemia, is somehow leading a normal life.
Ever since the accident, he has been living with the family of his relatives.
However, He is sent back to his parents' home when his father, Mr. Toono dies. There, he is reunited with his sister who has all grown up.

Meanwhile, there has been a serial murder incident in the city in which the dead victims have all blood sucked out of their bodies. The press is reporting the murderer is either a vampire or a deranged killer pretending to be one. Shiki's fear of his own powers returns, because he has been having a series of dreams in which he was a killer who sucked out blood from his victims.
Wondering what's going on, he starts looking for clues in the city, and encounters a woman named Arcueid Brunestud, a vampire with a long history...

The anime is based on a highly popular graphic-novel styled Doujin ("independently published") PC game. The show is slated to premiere on Japanese television in the autumn of 2003.
