[Machine Translation] The Number One Band, led by Katsuya Kobayashi, is celebrating his 77th birthday. This original album is the culmination of his musical activities. Known for his participation in the Snake Man Show, Katsuya Kobayashi is also active as a DJ, VJ, narrator, actor, and TV personality. He has had a tremendous influence on the music industry and the current form of entertainment in Japan. In March 2018, when Katsuya Kobayashi will celebrate his 77th birthday, he will release a new album by The Number One Band, the band he formed, for the first time in 25 years! This album was created by only two of the original members, Katsuya Kobayashi and Teruo Sato. The one and only Katsuya Kobayashi's "voice" and eccentric word choice are still alive and well in this album. The album includes "LET'S MAKE LOVE ~REGGAE ONDO~," a fusion of reggae and ondo musicality inspired by Eiichi Otaki's words, "reggae is an ondo," and "FUNKISHI" about a young inexperienced man's urge to kiss, with Katsuya Kobayashi's unique and diverse voice over a dense funk sound. FUNKY KISS", a song about the impulse of inexperienced youths to kiss, and more. This album is a condensation of the members' wide-ranging musical activities over a long period of time, and it contains a variety of musical styles that are hard to find in a pure musician.
